The new iPhone would be 31% faster than the iPhone 5

The days between us and the next Apple conference are counted. The Californian manufacturer should present new products September 10. Among these are expected a 'low cost' iPhone, the 5 c, but also the replacement for the current iPhone 5: 5 S.

It should be logically more powerful than its predecessor, as is the tradition. This improvement would be a new chip, the A7, which would display performances 31% higher than the iPhone 5 and its processor A6. When the latter arrived, Apple had described at the time its performance as a 50% higher than that of the former A5.

The 64-bit approach

Other rumors have a processor that supports the 64-bit instructions that would currently be tested in some prototypes of the mark, without knowing if this version will be the one integrated in the final model. Apple reserves maybe this innovation to the next 'full' of the iPhone version, 6? The gains brought by the 64-bit support are not obvious on paper for users. This is a logical evolution of the architecture of processors, which can have an impact particularly on the (most important) memory management. But the impact on performance is not necessarily obvious, if it doesn't, perhaps, on benchmarks.

Whatever it is, the performance of the Android competition increased considerably with the latest Snapdragon Qualcomm 800 bullets, which should equip more and more mobile high range performance very much superior to what existed until alo
